Workshops

I facilitate wellbeing workshops with a focus on self-care, self-compassion, relaxation and grounding to manage the impact of stress and trauma.

I also facilitate creative personal development sessions with a focus on clarifying direction and values, and building self-understanding.

In the past I have facilitated workshops for young people around healthy relationships, consent and self-esteem with the Safer London Foundation and other charities.

I have worked with groups from all walks of life - from ESOL students learning new words for the struggles they face, to trainee counsellors on an in-depth personal development retreat; from teenage girls learning how to set boundaries in relationships, to refugee journalists managing trauma both personal and vicarious.

I love the unique and transformative energy of groups - and I’m in awe of the strength, creativity, and growth that group members can bring out in each other when they come together.

Nina has run three mental health workshops for our students (all adults attending English classes) and we hope to continue running more with her. After the first workshop, we received an incredible amount of positive feedback from the students which led to us rebooking more sessions with Nina, particularly during the pandemic, as people struggled with isolation, anxiety and exacerbated mental ill-health. Nina leads the sessions with compassion, and clearly understands her audience and makes a real effort to make the sessions as accessible as possible. She approaches the sessions with a trauma-informed perspective and acknowledges that people will have different needs and preferences when considering support. We look forward to booking more workshops with Nina.
